Writer's are a strange breed. That's what I hear anyway. We have some funny quirks.
For example: The more rejections the better, they are badges of honor.

Writer's have fears.

We are afraid we'll never get published.
But some are afraid they'll get published and people will find out the're phonies.

Some are afraid they'll only sell one book.  Others are scared they'll sell a million.

Some are afraid they'll lose their imagination and never be able to write again.

Others are afraid they'll go brain dead from imagination overload.

What are some of your fears?

Very funny. :)

Thanks Mare, Yep, I doodled some today. My next one has to do with a tree and some husbands. LOL

Nice blog. Like the drawings with the captions.

I'm afraid I won't get a bigger publisher. I have two publishers but haven't seen my books on shelves in any bookstores yet. My print books were in lots of stores in different states but not in my own area.

Diane,
thanks for coming by. I think I can grasp that fear are you doing ebooks too. I wonder if I'll get a piublisher for print books. Haven't released the ebooks yet so I can't really say there.
Need to do something weird on YouTube and get a following I guess.

Cute doodles, Tina. Much better than mine, but I did have some talent in high school. I should scan some stuff.

Fears? Gosh, I think I'm past that. Sometimes I fear I don't have enough patience and I need to work on that.

Hi Again,
I do have print books - 3 with Samhain Publishing and 2 ebooks with Desert Breeze. SP are also in ebook format, but the sweeter type of books I write have sold better in print. My print books didn't have big mass distribution so would love to get a contract with HQ or a bigger pub and have my books available in many stores. :)

Have a great weekend, Tina!

Just don't pray for patience Steph. I did that once and my then fiance was sent on an eight month cruise, we had to change our wedding date three times, He was extended because of the hostage situation and I nearly went cuckoo.

I used to doodle more, but stopped and now I'm trying to do it more. You might as well get back to it and scan some to post.

Diane,

Never even heard of Samhain Publishing. there are so many houses out there now. I think we all want to see our books in print. I wanted that so badly years ago I tried self publishing and my sales bordered on dismal.

Just when I think it's hard to break into a bigger print house, someone manages to do it. But until now I've been told we have a writer that has stories like you already.

Oh well.

You are an amazing cartoonist! WOW!

LOVE IT!

Hmmm, a writer's fear? That "they" will stop publishing my books.

That I will fear above and not focus on writing for the Audience of One!!

Great post!
Patti

Great cartoon, Tina. So funny.

My dad's a cop and he cocked a brow when I asked him how long it would take for someone to drown in a sinking car.
His first question:
How's your marriage ;-)

Patti,
It is quite amazing the things that we think about If things are good I'm scared I'll get knocked on my tail soon. My weak faith I suppose

I try to remember the Lord wants what's best for even when I think I know best. Let's hope you sell a gazillion books

Pepper,
I can just see the look on your dad's face. I asked my accupuncterist if there was a way to put someone down ya know immobilize them.

Marriage is going well thirty years this March

Glad you came by

Pepper said...

LOL...the marriage question is what my dad asked me after I asked him about the sinking car question.

He was a bit concerned ;-)
But 30 years is AWESOME!

Tina Pinson said...

Oh, Pepper, I get it now, that's pretty funny. He wondered if you were thinking up ways to do away with your better half.

but thirty years is pretty good. How bout yourself. have you managed to do away with your hubby yet. Or are you still in research mode.

Still doing research ;-)

We've been married 15 years and are in the busy stage of life. I thought I was pretty busy about 5 years ago, but after moving further away from family, adding two more kids, and going back to full-time work - I realize I was wrong ;-) NOW I'm busy!!
